比較大学経営論（2）（夏学期・集中講義）

１．授業の概要

２．授業の趣旨
本授業は海外の大学を訪問する集中講義である。本年度は米国の代表的な州立研究大学のひとつであるカリフォルニア大学バークレー校を訪問する。
　本授業は、大学の比較研究に対する視野を醸成することを目的とする。現地で講義を受け、米国の大学人とディスカッションすることを通して、米国の研究大学の制度と実態を学ぶ。それを通して、大学に関する比較考察の視点を獲得し、日本の大学のあり方について考察する上での示唆を得る。
　アメリカの大学は世界の大学改革のモデルと位置付けられているが、その実態は実は十分に理解されていない。まずは予断を入れずにアメリカの大学の実態を理解しようとすることが重要である。すべての受講生が関心あるテーマを見出せるよう、幅広いテーマで講師を依頼しているので、各自の関心のあるテーマや研究テーマに関する理解を深める機会としてもらいたい。
　また、受講生各自の関心に即して事前調査やレポート執筆を行うことを通して、比較の視点から日本の大学像を相対化し、大学に対する幅広い知見を獲得することを目指す。

４．受講生に求めること
・原則としてすべての事前学習会、講義に参加すること。
・事前に期末レポートの執筆テーマを決め、事前学習会での報告と期末レポートの提出を期日を守って行うこと。
・十分な準備を行った上で講義に臨み、現地のセッションでは講義を聴くだけでなく、積極的に質問・コメントをすること。
・集中講義が全受講生にとって有意義な経験となるよう、受講生間で情報交換を図り、十分に協力し合うこと。
・科目の性格上、当コースの修了生、東京大学関係者が聴講者として参加することがある。
