Although academic knowledge is supposed to develop based on its intrinsic logic, in reality, it cannot progress without social support; it is greatly influenced by society. This can lead to contradictions and conflicts. I am interested in the relationship between society and higher education or academic research, such as how education and research at universities are coordinated with social demands. My studies have focused mainly on the organization, finances, and policies of higher education and academic research from the perspective of how these institutional frameworks mediate between academic knowledge and society.
